HAITI RELIEF FUND
To collect money for Haiti after a series of devastating earthquakes, Stuco plans to collect empty soda cans for the value of aluminum. All the soda cans that we collect as a community will be exchanged for cash at the DFW Aluminum Can Bank (1901 Preston Road) in Plano. Each aluminum soda can is worth 5ยข per piece. Our community needs to understand this fact because it is crucial that we collect as many cans as possible to contribute to this worthy cause. Donations are certainly welcome, but it is completely understandable if residents aren't willing to give at the expense of their own pockets. Our donations will be mailed to the American Red Cross. The last day for donations is Friday, April 16th.
WHEEL S FOR THE WORLD
If you have any used/ broken wheelchairs, crutches or walkers that you would like to donate, please contact Mike Carter (via phone at 972-310-2464) and Student Council will be glad to pick up your donation. A Christian-based organization called "Wheels for the World" will repair and ship wheelchairs around the world to people affected by physical disabilities.
CLOTHING DRIVE
Currently, Student Council is trying to collect clothing to donate to the Prosper Community Clothing Closet. If you have any used or outgrown clothing you'd be willing to donate, there is a donation bin in the PHS Cafeteria. If you'd like more information on this project, please talk to Jessie F ord or another Student Council or Student Leadership member.
Student Council Members: If you'd like your project to be displayed here, please contact Andrea Norby.
